President Sooronbay Zheenbekov received Akylbek Sultanov, Chairman of the National Statistical Committee

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Zheenbekov today, June 20, recieved the chairman of the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Sultanov. This is reported by the press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Akylbek Sultanov provided information on socio-economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic over the period January-May 2019. So, according to the statistics committe, according to the results of 5 months of the current year, the GDP volume amounted to 184 billion soms and increased by 5.6%. GDP growth was achieved by increasing the volume of industrial production, agriculture, construction and services. An increase in investment in fixed assets by 4.9% was also noted. 

As part of the Year of Regional Development and Digitalization of the Country, the National Statistics Committee on a par with other government agencies should switch to electronic form of  reporting and data dissemination, which will reduce the risks of errors, increase the speed of data collection and processing, as well as reduce the burden on respondents.

In this regards together with the State Enterprise "Center of Electronic Interaction" and other government agencies, it was entrusted to exchange the necessary information within the Tunduk system to optimize the number and forms of reporting in order to reduce the burden for the reporting business.

The head of state stressed that the National Statistics Committee should ensure the timely and full provision of relevant data on the regions, their socio-economic situation, while strengthening the analytical part of the work. It is entrusted to take an active part in ensuring the completeness and quality of information in household books, as well as within the framework of the platform “Sanarip aimak”.

Also, President Sooronbay Zheenbekov drew attention to the need to ensure the reliability of statistical data and reduce statistocal errors in all spheres of the country's life, especially in foreign trade.
